FAQ

Short answers before you install.

ZecruAI coordinates coding agents through missions, evidence, and review while model access stays tied to the supported providers and tools you choose.

What is ZecruAI?

ZecruAI is a local-first desktop app for AI software development. Create missions, assign coding agents, review diffs and verification evidence, then accept the work yourself.

Is ZecruAI an AI code editor or IDE?

ZecruAI is not trying to replace your AI code editor or AI IDE. It is the command center above your coding agents: plan missions, assign work, track reports, and review evidence before you accept changes.

How is this different from one coding chat or AI editor?

A single chat or editor helps you work with one assistant. ZecruAI is the control layer above your agents: assign missions, keep work owned, require reports, and review tests, builds, browser checks, and diffs before you ship.

Can ZecruAI help build SaaS apps with AI coding agents?

Yes. ZecruAI helps developers organize SaaS app building with AI coding agents by turning product work into reviewable missions with assigned owners, changed files, verification steps, and accept-or-reopen decisions.

What is a mission?

A mission is a concrete software task with goals, constraints, acceptance criteria, and a definition of done. Agents work against that mission and report what changed.

Do planner and coder agents make the work autonomous?

No. Planner and coder roles add accountability. A planner can shape or review the work while coder agents implement, but you still review evidence before accepting changes.

Does ZecruAI eliminate hallucinations?

No. ZecruAI reduces hallucination risk through planning, evidence, and review. It does not guarantee bug-free output or replace human judgment.

What happens after I download?

Install the free Windows or macOS desktop app, connect a supported coding CLI or API provider, open a local project, create a mission, and review agent reports before accepting changes.

How do downloads work?

The Windows and macOS buttons resolve the latest public release automatically. If the lookup fails, they fall back to the GitHub latest-release page.

What model access do I need?

Use a supported coding CLI, subscription, or API provider you choose. ZecruAI coordinates the workspace; model and provider usage is billed by your provider unless a plan explicitly says otherwise.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows and macOS downloads are available today. Linux is not supported yet.

What does the Cloud plan cover?

Cloud features cover coordination, relay, history, mobile command-center access, activity, restart, and needs-review or plan-approval flows. They do not automatically include hosted model usage.

What project context can providers see?

ZecruAI is built around local project work and explicit provider connections. Your selected provider can receive the prompts and code context an agent sends for a task.

Can I coordinate multiple agents?

Yes. Coordinate multiple agents and models from one workspace, with direct assignment and mission history so ownership and overlap stay reviewable.

Plans and providers

Use the right model for each job without betting on only one.

ZecruAI Cloud is for coordination, relay, history, mobile command-center access, and review workflows. ZecruAI coordinates the agents; model usage remains tied to the supported CLIs and API providers you choose unless a plan explicitly says otherwise.
